Hilton Garden Inn and Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa have launched an Earth Week campaign under the theme: “Saving the Arabian Ghaf tree”, in line with Hilton’s ongoing sustainability initiative and following this year’s Earth Day official theme ‘’Protecting our Species’’.
Guests and members of staff have come together to take part and all do their bit for the earth and the environment, planting over 100 Ghaf trees throughout both hotels.
The Ghaf tree being planted, is the UAE’s national tree and is officially endangered. This week-long campaign is in celebration of 100 years of Hilton and aims to raise awareness about The Ghaf tree. This falls within Hilton’s worldwide “Travel with Purpose” program, which aims to help protect the environment.
Both Hilton Garden Inn and Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa are to roll out a second phase of the tree planting initiative later this year, which will involve planting Ghaf Trees across the Emirate.
